Gregg AbelMr. Abel received his Bachelor's Degree in Finance from one of the University of Texas campuses, a Masters Degree in Business Administration and a Doctorate in Jurisprudence from Texas Tech University, and a Post-Doctorate Degree in Taxation from Southern Methodist University. Prior to moving his family to Sarasota, Mr. Abel practiced law primarily in Dallas, Texas, where he maintained an active trial law practice; however, for several years in the early 1990s, he participated in mass-tort class action activities on a national scale which took him all over the Country in furtherance of these claims. Additionally, Mr. Abel has handled literally thousands of personal injury claims over the past eighteen years, having tried numerous significant cases on both sides of the docket. Since 1989, Mr. Abel has also handled a wide variety of civil cases, including: complex divorces, business valuation and dissolution disputes, partnership disputes, franchise disputes, breach of contract claims, construction defects claims; real estate disputes, wrongful levy actions, disputes regarding non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, and discrimination in employment and wrongful termination claims. Mr. Abel has a wife and two children; and is active locally as a leader with the Boy Scouts of America and with his church.
